Joining Psychology in Action offers students a unique opportunity to engage with psychology beyond the classroom, connect with like-minded peers, and contribute to meaningful community projects. Membership provides access to numerous personal and academic growth opportunities, including networking with students, faculty, and organizations focused on mental health and social services; developing leadership, teamwork, and communication skills through active participation in club events and decision-making processes; and engaging in community service initiatives. Furthermore, high-performing members have the opportunity to earn scholarships to pursue a master’s degree at AAU, based on their achievements and contributions to the club, fostering both academic and professional growth.
Membership Categories
Any student of AAU can be a full, associate or honorary member of the club depending on his/her level of commitment & participation in the club, and type of admission to the university.
- Full Membership: For students enrolled in the psychology department and demonstrating a strong commitment to the club.
- Supportive Membership: For extension students who are not enrolled in school of psychology. It can be students with an expressed interest in joining the club.
- Associate Membership: For students who are enrolled in other department on the regular basis which includes students from other departments and colleges of the university.
- Corporate Membership: For organizations that collaborate and work closely with the club.
- Honorary Membership: For alumni and members who continue supporting Psychology in Action beyond graduation.
- Executive Membership: Reserved for leadership roles elected by the previous Executive Committee members.
- Membership to Psychology in Action provides a collaborative and educational platform for students to expand their understanding of psychology while contributing to meaningful social change
